HN School Aquinas Circles For students in grades 6-8 who can successfully maintain an average of 90% or better in each subject area.  The Aquinas Circles encourage the students to explore a wide variety of topics that are not usually dealt with in the course of the normal school day. The objective is to create life-long, self-motivated learners who accept challenges and go beyond what is merely expected of them. Each year new topics are selected by the students and the moderators and the work culminates with participation in a diocesan-wide exposition of thee various Aquinas Groups work.

HN School Chess Club – is made up of students from all grades. The only qualification is that the students desire to improve on his/ her game, or a desire to learn the game. Students play one another throughout the year and become familiar with various strategies.

HN School Choir - ranges in age from 7 through 13. The children practice at least once a week, and participate in many of the liturgies as well as our various school shows. Any child can participate as long as they are willing to make the commitment to attend the practices and participate in the special events.

HN School Yearbook – this is primarily an 8th Grade activity that requires the students to learn how to put a publication together, develop art work of the publication, improve their photography skills, secure advertising to help offset the cost of the yearbook, and work cooperatively with one another. It is yearlong project that the students enjoy.

HN School Student Council – students elect representatives from their class who serve on the council. Throughout the year the council sponsors a variety of events / activities, centered on increasing school spirit and doing something for others. The students debate what they will do, develop plans on how it will be accomplished, and a time frame for achieving their goal. They work together cooperatively for the good of all the students and the school.
